Common questions about our services?
Do you carry out warranty work?
No, we do not carry out any warranty work on behalf of other companies that have supplied eBikes, as this often invalidates the warranty.
Do you service any make or model of electric bike?
No, we only support the following brands of ebikes/drives: Raleigh, Haibike, Batribike, Lapierre, Gocycle, Bosch, Yamaha (depending on model), Shimano, Promovec, Mahle, Gocycle. WE ONLY SERVICE AND REPAIR eBIKES THAT ARE FULLY COMPLIANT WITH THE EPAC REGULATIONS. Please contact us to check if we can service your ebike.
Why is the Mahle service more expensive than for other ebikes?
As the work involved servicing or repairing ebikes with Mahle components is more labour intensive than most other brands, this work carries a higher cost.
Do I have to clean my bike before handing it over to you?
Yes. Whilst your bike will be cleaned as part of the service, bikes that require extensive cleaning prior to any work being carried out will carry an additional cleaning cost.
What is the £50 initial assessment fee for Mahle ebikes?
For ebikes with Mahle components, servicing and repairs are more time consuming than on most other makes of ebike. To reflect the increased level of work we carry out, we charge an initial assessment fee of £50. This fee is deducted from the total service or repair cost, should you proceed with the work.
How often should I get my ebike serviced?
While this varies depending upon the amount and type of use, we recommend your eBike is serviced every 12 months or 1000 miles.
What happens if you find a fault with my bike during the service?
We will advise of any additional work required or recommended whilst the bike is with us and will only proceed with additional work once we have received your approval.
Do you operate a collect and return service?
No, all bikes need to be delivered to and collected from our Linlithgow premises by the customer.
